The GMH Tower MS is a very robust welded structure, adjusted inside for vertical storage of individual handling units. Containers (handling units) are welded structures, dimensioned according to the most common shipping formats and weights of metal sheets.
The extractor, which is a part of the lift, either transfers loading units from/to storage locations in the tower, or takes the loading unit from/to the operator area. The operator area has been designed to ensure lifting of the material above the container, which allows handling of an entire bundle of sheets using forklift.
Handling of individual sheets is usually carried out by vacuum or magnet lift. The Double and Multi tower system can be equipped with more operator areas, either at front, at back and/or at side machine position (depending on Tower design).
